Challenge

Their condition resulted in prolonged absence from work, totalling 114 days. Initial assessment revealed unidentified substance use issues, exacerbating his health concerns.
Solution
Acclaim initiated an addiction protocol, addressing the employee’s substance use issues alongside their chronic condition. However, treatment was briefly interrupted due to a family member's demise, impacting The Employee emotionally. Return to treatment not only addressed substance use but also assisted in coping with the loss, unveiling a formal diagnosis of PTSD following hospitalization.
Results
Despite interruptions, continued treatment post Return-to-Work (RTW) focused on managing the employee's PTSD. This comprehensive approach enabled The Employee to navigate the complexities of their condition and personal loss, leading to significant progress in their mental health recovery and a successful return to the workplace.
